Thumbs up EVO X Turbo Inlet - Cobb Tuning

Comments on the new Cobb Tuning EVO X Turbo Inlet?

"We just finished up the first article of our turbo inlet for the new EVO X. This is to replace the factory piece between the factory MAF/Airbox and the turbocharger. The goal is to improve air flow into the turbocharger and improve efficiency. Basically free HP without pushing the engine or turbocharger harder in order to gain it. Our design utilizes a steel coil reinforced multi-ply silicone tubing that an exact bolt on replacement for the factory piece."

Expect these to be available for purchase in the next 4-6 weeks from EVOXTuners.com supporting vendors.

The blue should have better air flow , since it has bigger dia.

Not sure what else you could do to improve it. Did you test to see if it performs better than stock part?

Looks wise the prototpye doesn't look as good at the stock one. Its just really plain. I guess it will depend if you want looks vs funtionality.

I am interested to see how much more HP you can get with this Cobb unit. Also I would like to see it offered in different colors, like black to match the factory one.

I didn't think of that.

Thats a good idea , but like said above its a prototype. Hopefully they will decide to make it with different colors. Red and black would be nice.

Its a great start though , can't wait to see them in stock.
